Allianz Ribeira Grande Pro 2026 returns to São Miguel from June 12 to 14, once again placing the Azores at the heart of Portugal's top-tier surfing scene. The event will be held at Areal de Santa Bárbara in Ribeira Grande, one of the archipelago's most iconic waves and the westernmost stop on the MEO Surf League.
As the fourth and penultimate event of Portugal's premier national surfing division, the competition arrives at a decisive point in the season, with the national titles still on the line and pressure building around the leading surfers. Francisco Ordonhas comes into the Azores at the top of the men's ranking and could even secure the title early, while Maria Salgado arrives in São Miguel wearing the yellow leader's jersey in the women's race.
More than just a contest, Allianz Ribeira Grande Pro reinforces Ribeira Grande and the north coast of São Miguel as a benchmark surf stage in Europe. Over three days, Portugal's surfing elite meets demanding Atlantic waves, dramatic island scenery and a crowd that already treats this stop as one of the standout events on the national calendar.
